The SME Connect initiative Healthy Lifestyle at Work & Home (HLI) was launched in Brussels in 2020, as part of the European plan to combat cancer and fight Covid-19. The focus is on nutrition and physical exercise, as well as physical and mental health.

The aim is to support small and medium-sized enterprises and show them ways to raise awareness of health issues among their employees and promote their physical and mental well-being. We also open up the possibility of networking with the right partners for this purpose.

So far, this important issue has been discussed at EU level. With Germany, this project is now being introduced practically at the level of a Member State for the first time. As a kick-off partner for Germany, the Burnout Network could be won. Further supporters and partners are invited. The offer is open to all SMEs and their associations. The initiative is supported by the European Economic Senate and the Taxpayers of Europe.

SME Connect was founded in 2017 and is a network with a communication platform for SMEs, their stakeholders and supporters. Together, we develop projects and initiatives and participate in economic policy discourses. In doing so, the network is politically independent, but is supported on a voluntary basis by policymakers who are keen to contribute their expertise and to participate in the experiences of others. All network members are equal, everyone represents their own positions and can contribute their views anywhere on the platform.
